D & R is proud to once again support the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, which provides gifts to those children less fortunate. D & R has been supporting this program for over twenty years, and is grateful to our wonderful staff who continue to embrace this program and help make a difference.

D & R attended the 2022 I/ITSEC Expo on November 28 through December 2 in Orlando, FL. Which showcases state of the art Training Equipment and Simulation Technologies from around the globe.
I/ITSEC ( Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference ) is an annual event featuring 420 exhibitors and thousands of attendees from 47 different countries. Its mission is to provide industry, educational, and military communities exposure to the latest tools, software, and techniques for Training, Simulation, and Modeling as all sectors recognize the need for effective training.

The Expo will give D & R the opportunity to collaborate, discuss and demonstrate our CBT / eLearning experience and capabilities with existing and potential new customers.

D & R technical Solutions is pleased to announce we will be exhibiting at the first annual Veterans Expo 2022 which will be hosted by the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena to showcase the support services available to our Veterans. It will consist of regional and national organizations that provide services and employment opportunities for Veterans. The event starts at 3:00 P.M. and goes to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 7th. This is a great opportunity for the community to show our appreciation for their service and for Veterans to discover the support services available to them in our area. D & R Technical Solutions is pleased to announce the award of a multi-year contract to provide operation and maintenance technical manuals, training and spares analysis for a new tactical refueling station for the US Marine Corps. D & R was awarded this contract in July and is actively conducting supportability analyses as directed by the USMC in support of the initial hardware delivery for verification testing starting in January 2023.

Dating back to 2004, we have awarded a scholarship in the memory of one of our employees, Valerie Spears, and her daughter Devin, who tragically lost their lives in 2002. We’re happy to announce that we have once again donated $500.00 to the scholarship fund managed by the Endicott Performing Art Center (EPAC), where Devin participated in shows. This is a meaningful and valued D & R tradition and we are happy to once again support that.

D & R Technical Solutions is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming 12th annual Greater Binghamton Bridge Run. The race will be held on May 1st and features a half marathon that spans 5 bridges over 13.1 mostly flat miles. The event also offers a relay option, a 16 mile challenge, a 5K, and a Fun Run for kids.

The event is put on every year by theGreater Binghamton Chamber.

D & R is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the sub-contract to develop Technical Manuals for Chemring Sensors and Electronic Systems (CSES) under the Joint Biological Tactical Detection System (JBTDS) program. The JBTDS is the Joint Services' Biological Sensor and a Remote Monitoring Data Station. CSES is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and supports military operations in over 30 countries worldwide by providing countermeasure and threat detection systems. The JBTDS program is being developed for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marines as a tactical detector capable of detecting and collecting airborne biological agents.

D & R will be exhibiting at the Greater Binghamton Chamber Project Homecoming Job and Career Fair. The Career fair will be held on Thursday, December 30th from 11 A.M. – 3 P.M. at the Oakdale Mall Center Court, 601-635 Harry L Drive in Johnson City. There are 33 businesses signed up for the event so far. We will be accepting resumes for all positions, including Technical Writers, Logistics Analysts, Desktop Publishers, Technical Illustrators, 3D Modelers, and Trainers. On November 7, D & R’s Andy Canzler and Setrak Kerjilian will be attending the APTA TRANSform and Conference and Expo in sunny Orlando, Florida. This event will feature over 700 exhibitors from around the globe that specialize in supplying components for the mass transit industry such as bus and rail. D & R has considerable experience in the rail industry providing technical manuals for over 30 years.

On November 2nd, D & R President John Mulligan will be attending the Annual SAFE Association Symposium in Mobile, Alabama. The expo features 33 vendors that specialize in all the latest technological advances in personal safety equipment for air, land, space, and applications. Products include ejection seats, parachutes, body armor, and flight suits.

In late October, D & R’s John Mulligan and Paul Braden attended the AUSA 2021 Annual Expo in Washington, DC. It featured over 700 different military vendors and service providers from over 80 countries and attracts over 33,000 attendees. Vendors like General Dynamics and BAE plied their wares ranging from tanks and Humvees to robotic dogs and drones. It was a great opportunity to touch base with former and current customers as well as meet and greet new potential customers.

In that time, there were years without any applicants and no scholarship was awarded. To eliminate that going forward, we have decided to donate our $500.00 scholarship money to the Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC), who also award a similar scholarship. We are very happy to partner with EPAC to help keep a valued D & R tradition alive.

We are happy to announce we have signed on as a sponsor of the Binghamton Bridge Run Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K race. This is held annually, sponsored by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce. This year’s date is September 26th. See you there!

D & R hosted an Employee Appreciation luncheon catered by Pinky’s BBQ. There was great food and beverage and plenty merriment. We would like to say thank you to all our employees for all the hard work and dedication. Our success would not be possible with it.

D & R Technical Solutions, Inc., was awarded a subcontract by Parsons Corporation to develop Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) (a.k.a. eLearning) modules for installing and maintaining onboard, wayside, and office equipment for the NJ TRANSIT Advanced Speed Enforcement System (ASES) II Positive Train Control (PTC) program. D&R is utilizing Articulate Storyline 360 to develop the eLearning modules.

D & R Technical Solutions is happy to announce the relocation of our office from Endicott to Vestal is now complete. Our new office is located at 320 North Jensen Road in Vestal NY, and is better aligned with our hybrid remote/office work arrangement.

The new office will support our continued growth in developing Computer Based Training (CBT), technical manual development and logistics analysis for commercial and defense firms.

D & R participates in Toys for Tots, providing gifts for underprivileged children and giving back to the community. Thanks to all employees who contributed to such a worthwhile charity.

D & R has successfully passed the ISO 9001:2015 recertification. The certification provides a model for companies of all types and sizes to use in building an effective quality management system. We have been certified since 2012 and always strive to achieve the highest level of quality.

We received approval from the Navy of five USN8 maintenance plans MER, Data Link, LHEP, RHEP and Dipping Sonar for the US Lockheed Martin MH-60R helicopter.

We received approval from the Navy of the CCKIT (US) and Data Handling (US, Australia, Saudi and Denmark) maintenance plans for the MC/FMC Obsolescence program for the Lockheed Martin MH-60R helicopter.

D & R celebrates our 30 year anniversary. Our longevity is a testament to the technical prowess and ability to adapt and evolve through decades of changing technology landscape.

President Ken Richter announced his retirement. Ken has been President since 2009 and was one of the original founders. He passes the torch to new President John Mulligan and Vice President Andy Canzler. We wish him luck in all his future endeavors.
